She enjoyed reading poetry, and thought about things a lot. She also was against marriage. During one conversation, she even said that she would rather die than get married. Another characteristic of Beatrice was that she was very emotional. She often changed her mood all of a sudd .....

Shakespeare added the character of the Fool as a tool in better understanding Lear. The Fool exists as a metaphorical device in the King's path to better understanding himself. Ships traveling to India and Asia could stop at these ports. It was a perfect place for British ships because it was like a mid-point between the two places in which it was traveling. Ships could also replenish supplies such as food, clothes, men, etc. The British occupation of the land sparked a debate on whether the British should have access to South Africa. They only wanted it because it would make them stronger politically and economicall .....

Of the remaining four hours, three are on television every Thursday night, and include the tremendously popular FRIENDS, the SINGLE GUY, the hits SEINFELD and CAROLINE IN THE CITY, and the most popular show this year, ER. For the remaining hour I choose to look at THE TONIGHT SHOW, with Jay Leno. Between these shows there are many similarities and many differences. All of these shows can be directly compared with each other, having some of the same qualities. Looking at these shows in the perspective of an anthropologist some disquieting trends emerge. .....
