The Ironies In Orwell's 1984
Number of words: 421 - Number of pages: 2.... helps the "littler siblings" -- this not the case with 1984's Big
Brother. The Big Brother in this novel completely watches over every move
a person makes keeping them controlled with fear.
The next type of irony is Situation irony, which is when a character
or a sequence of events appears to be headed one way, but it ends up as the
opposite of what was thought. One example of this is Winston's general
health. From the beginning of the book, it is shown how horrible his
health is and is continually getting worse and more difficult, but as
Winston gets involved with Julia then he be .....

Critic On Huckleberry Finn
Number of words: 332 - Number of pages: 2.... does not like him. He probably picked it up from other people (adults). Besides this "vulgarity" as An Lew has put it, this book in my eyes is a perfectly good reading book for young people. It is exciting, adventurous, and realistic. Most of the N- words are used by Huck and as you see of their relationship together, you know that Huck does not mean it in a bad way. Since this word was used and passed around for quite some time, Huck must have picked it up from someone and is using it sort of as a slang for African Americans. They are messing with one of the greatest and most famous w .....

Tarrou: The Plague's Only Hero
Number of words: 785 - Number of pages: 3.... Tarrou fulfill. Grand produces two
sentences and does nothing to fight the plague, which McCarthy interprets
as a parody of Rieux's inability to explain the plague (109-10). Cottard
wholeheartedly embraces the plague, revels in it, and attempts to profit
from it. The rest of the people either waste their time, waiting for the
end (the old man spitting on the cats, the bean-counter, etc.) or join the
sanitation squad, under Tarrou. Nobody takes a stand and resists death
except Rieux and Tarrou.
Rieux and Tarrou do seem to show the same level of heroism. Both
resist the plague, both are .....

the novel. After walking Boo to his house, Scout looked at the town from
the porch, Boo's point of view. She saw Maycomb how Boo had always seen it.
At that point, she understood Boo. Scout learned that you cannot
understand someone until you see things through his eyes in that she
achieved a new perception of Boo when she observed her town from his front
