Dadis Family
Number of words: 536 - Number of pages: 2.... they must go and be married. I found it sad that the birth of a daughter is not exciting. But Davis-Floyd's analysis seems correct in this situation. Depending on the number of sons that one has the more wealth they will have. There is security in having boys, but then at the same time, I noticed at points, the women sang and talked of the wonders of being a daughter. It also was different from what you would expect in that even though the birth of a daughter was not celebrated, the oldest or first daughter in law has power.
On page 419 the text reads, "Women were another source of pr .....

Romeo And Juliet 10
Number of words: 424 - Number of pages: 2.... passion, and death. The secrecy of the marriage of Romeo and Juliet pointed out a form of dramatic irony. This is shown by Juliet’s “ double-edged ”phrases when Lady Capulet is denouncing Romeo. For example,
“Ay madam, from the reach of
these my hands:
would none but I might verge
my cousin’s death.” (Act III, Scene V, line 86)
or when Juliet states in an awkward way,
“indeed I never shall be satisfied with Romeo till I behold him -dead- ”
(Act III, Scene V, line 95)
O there dramatic ironies included when Romeo falls in .....

Creon As The Tragic Hero In An
Number of words: 623 - Number of pages: 3.... as a powerful king, but his development through the plot forces him to become nothing more than a fool. I believe that Creon’s noble quality is linked to his role in Oedipus the King. Oedipus, after blinding himself, asks Creon to take care of his children. He, of course, agrees to. This is, without a doubt, a noble quality. Creon’s involvement in the plot of Antigone clearly shows that he is the center of the tragedy. The definition of a tragedy also supports my beliefs. This is why Creon is the tragic hero.
Second, Creon’s faults brought an endless life of pain upon himsel .....

"Fourth!" Ruby called out over her shoulder on her way out the door.
The days of the week seemed to fly by and before she knew it, Ruby was in her apartment dressing for her sister, Jillian’s wedding. The mysterious man from the diner had almost completely escaped her thoughts. Running late, as usual, she finished fastening the clasp on her bridesmaid gown and hurried outside to catch a cab. Ruby .....

Number of words: 805 - Number of pages: 3.... is to provide history to the audience. Although, Sophocles did change the structure a little. The first to enter the play are Antigone and Ismene, who are engaging in conversation over defying the edict forbidding their brothers burial, which brings the audience to the present time. Shortly after, the chorus enters and recounts the reasons for the battle and death of Polyneices and Eteocles, brothers to Antigone and Ismene. The chorus appears every scene to serve as the voice of the culture, and counsels to the characters. “…Save those two of cruel fate, who, born of one sire and .....

Number of words: 367 - Number of pages: 2.... supports this statement when he says, “There are more than four thousand different sorts of them, and from all those kinds I can only think of five which are belligerent. There are the five ants, one termite that I know of, and Man”(194). This insult influences Wart to create the Round Table when he becomes the King. The purpose of the Round Table is to get all the barons to stop fighting among themselves and to form an alliance to fight only to protect the weak. Therefore, the badger’s insult influences the creation of the Round Table.
