The Jeep
Number of words: 1599 - Number of pages: 6.... soon followed with their own prototypes, the Willys Quad and the Ford Pygmy, which were basically knock-offs of the Bantam car. Willys eventually won the contract because of their 60hp "Go-Devil" engine, but Ford was also given a contract to help keep up with the military's demand for the vehicles for use in WWII. Willys later renamed their jeeps the MA and the MB, while Ford called theirs the GP and GPW. Many believe, as I do, that won the war for the Allies.
As for the name 'Jeep', no one really knows for sure where it came from. Some people believe that it evolved from the Ford 'GP' d .....

Marriage Asylum
Number of words: 1856 - Number of pages: 7.... not ironic, that people spend years attending college or in vocational training in order to prepare themselves for careers which, will in all likelihood change many times over the course of their lives. I would argue that people need to open their eyes and realize that it is just as essential to prepare for a successful marriage as it is a successful career. Today, marital classes are not widely attended nor are they a standard prerequisite of marriage and they should be. Something is seriously awry with the institute of marriage when large populations of adults are experiencing one, two ev .....

Medieval Weapons
Number of words: 1546 - Number of pages: 6.... bows and arrows, throwing axes, and crossbows. These weapons were classified as levers, because they have a fulcrum, a resistance arm and an effort arm. Siege, or large-scale weapons, include catapults and battering rams. Melee weapons were, perhaps, the most important ones in any medieval battle. These weapons are also considered to be levers. They would be classified as third class levers.
The earliest melee weapons were clubs. Existing from Neanderthal times, these simple thick sticks were quickly replaced by blade weapons. However, some tribes continued to use clubs as throwing weapons. .....

Los Angeles-city Of Quartz
Number of words: 1901 - Number of pages: 7.... during the 1980's. (Pg. 7) The city of Los Angeles was created for the white, urbanized, higher middle and upper classes.
I think Davis' primary thesis or point in the book is just that. Los Angeles was being developed into a city for the wealthy by the wealthy. He describes all the hardships that the poor and middle classes go through to survive in the city. The middle and lower classes are completely separated from the wealthy society as Los Angeles is built and after it exists. It is amazing how the wealthy can create such a perfect utopia for themselves, especially being the minorit .....

Analysis Of The Free-Throw Shot
Number of words: 1488 - Number of pages: 6.... the rim is ten feet high from the floor, meaning you have
to make sure win shooting the ball, that the angle is higher than ten feet at
its peak so then on its decent to the basket it will have a chance to go in. If
you don't get it higher than ten feet it has no chance to go in.
When you start talking all these angle's and trajectories, you can begin to
understand why some people are accurate and some are not. Shooting free-throws
is not a thing of chance or luck. It is something that takes repetition. To be
a good free-throw shooter you need to have a repetitive action, not som .....

Locality Planning
Number of words: 457 - Number of pages: 2.... service provision and resources.
Inter-agency and intra-agency co-operation is essential if information is to be collated and processed in any meaningful fashion and to ensure that any plan once in place will be properly supported. Barriers to co-operation need to be removed through consultation, participation, negotiation, and improved communication channels.
Resource provision has to be assessed along with any plan. Existing resources, whether personnel, equipment or financial can only cater for so many needs. The targeting of these resources would need to be negotiated and agreed by .....

with minimal conflict. This could perhaps be the single most element of
education. Education also provides us with an education of our own culture. In
a school setting the extent of the information often varies depending on which
culture is being studied. Much of the time, if not all, the primary focus is on
European and Western civilization. Asian, African, Indian, and South American
civilization ten to be ignored in c .....
