Persuasive Essay: Overpopulation
Number of words: 258 - Number of pages: 1.... 5.8 billion people, with
projections of around 10 billion by the year 2050. Two billion of these are
extremely poor, the poorest of which live in absolute poverty and misery.
One very serious effect of the population explosion is its detrimental
effects on the global environment. Increasing amounts of food, energy, water,
and shelter are required to fulfill the needs of human society. Much of our
energy is derived from the burning of fossil fuels-releasing millions of metric
tons of toxins into the atmosphere annually. The amount of land required for
food production will grow increasingly .....

The Injustice Of Slavery
Number of words: 373 - Number of pages: 2.... very much, and that was not good.
Discrimination of African Americans is not that big now a days, but it
is still out there. Discrimination sort of died out when a man named Martin
Luther King, Jr. expressed some of his thoughts about discrimination. His famous
speech was entitled "I Have a Dream". Back before his speech, African Americans
were not treated as people. They had to stand at the back of the bus, they had
to live in a certain area of town, they could not use the white restrooms or
white drinking fountains, they could not even eat in the same restaurants as
white people. Thanks t .....

country or place.
One the other hand there are other factors called Pull factors. These
factors are different and are the opposite of the Push Factors, making them want
to leave the country they are living in. People may be in love and find better
living standards in the other country. There may also find it to be safer and

Teens And Sex
Number of words: 911 - Number of pages: 4.... sexual intercourse and prevent the
pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and H.I.V. infection. If a student
was at a party and decided, on the spur of the moment, to engage in sexual
intercourse, then it is more likely that they have a condom if schools
distributed them. This sounds good in theory, but will it really work? If
schools distribute condoms, shouldn't they also teach the students how to use
them and teach them a little about sex (sex education in schools, another
controversial topic)?
The world certainly needs to try to decrease teenage pregnancies, STD's,
and H. .....

Sociology: The Comparative Method
Number of words: 1900 - Number of pages: 7.... one use however? The answer, whichever one applies to the 'truth'
in question. For example, you certainly would not do a cross-gender form of
comparison if you wished to expose whether or not homosexuality has always been
feared and looked down upon by most people throughout history. No, rather you
would perform a historical comparison of two or more different societies to see
if these beliefs always existed, or, whether or not this is a newly constructed
belief.
Let's look at little more closely at the above mentioned historical
comparison and see how the comparative method works with a s .....

others are just unable to find work so they can pay a rent.
25% of the homeless are children and many of them are alone. They're maybe run-

parents tell them to leave home .....

Outdoors Or TV?
Number of words: 250 - Number of pages: 1.... more violent and committing crimes is
because, they sit in front of the stupid TV all day long. They don't spend
enough time outdoors, hunting, fishing, surfing, and doing all those fun
exciting things.
The outdoors offers so much to do and takes your mind off reality and
into the fun world. When you are outdoors you are free as a bird and there
aren't too many rules. The one rule I go by is; “have fun.” When you're
outdoors you don't have to think about being robbed or hurt by crazy people
because, they stay in the city.
If you are outdoors you can't watch TV. That means that .....

Number of words: 620 - Number of pages: 3.... that this form "classism" against her was apparent at sunday
school. It was so great in fact that she actually quit the classes to get
away from the sunday school "snobs".
It should come as no surprise that Darlene has also expressed a desire
to quit highschool as well. This may also explain her reluctance to join
any clubs and the way she anticipates unfriendly reactions from people she
meets. Darlene's teachers agree that although Darlene has an above
average intellect, she still only aquires average marks. I believe this
problem can be traced to her parents. It s .....

Immigration: Problem With Too Many Immigrants In The U.S
Number of words: 682 - Number of pages: 3.... on problems facing American citizens, such as poverty, AIDS,
cancer, and unemployment. We don't need 300,00 more people to deal with, we have
enough problems with the currents population.
I don't think certain ethnic groups should be give preference over
another group but I think educated workers who can speak English should be
granted passage before a poor worker who is coming over here to pick lettuce for
minimum wage. The educated people are the immigrants that will cause this
country to flourish and they are the ones that should be encouraged to migrate
to the U.S.
With some many .....
