Child Abuse
Number of words: 1710 - Number of pages: 7.... are many signs of physical abuse.
First the location and types of injuries, many time the parent or care
takers will deny any wrong doing or the child has suffered any physical injury.
There are always those injuries that consist of a normal childhood upbringing,
such as falling of their bike or bumping their head. Then, there are those
which they cannot be explained. When caretakers deny any injuries or have no
knowledge of an injury, there is a very strong likely hood that physical abuse
exists. Here are some of the signs of physical abuse.

Anti-Affirmative Action
Number of words: 594 - Number of pages: 3.... I found on the World Wide Web, affirmative action
beneficiaries are "not the best pick, but only the best pick from a limited
group." Another article I found, "Affirmative action: A Counter-
Productive Policy" by Ernest Pasour also on the W.W.W., is one example
which reveals that Duke, a very famous and prestigious university, adopted
a resolution requiring each of it's department to hire at least one new
African-American for a faculty position the 1993 date. More proofs of
Affirmative Action in action is the admission practices at the University
of California Berkeley. In the same artic .....

Race Relations
Number of words: 2420 - Number of pages: 9.... of one American nation" (Green, 1998; PG) -- are pushing hard to
mend racial tension with a comprehensive program that is designed to bring
all races together. Will it work? Or will minorities look upon the effort
as nothing more than a Band-Aid covering a much larger issue? To some
extent, concepts such as affirmative action have their place in society,
yet they will do nothing to alter an individual's perception of one race or
another.

Protection From Abuse And Neglect
Number of words: 1129 - Number of pages: 5.... to express their experiences and ask questions openly to others without
having to worry about adult supervision. This may interest children to comment
on situations and on general conversation that they normally would be scared to
ask their parents. I feel that this is relevant to children in today's society
because these situations of abuse and neglect occur in many households, and
children either do not know their rights or fail to take action to them.
The kinds of topics and issues discussed in the association and in
connection with children's rights will vary according to im .....

How Should We Treat The Homeless?
Number of words: 451 - Number of pages: 2.... food, and when they do he finds it. Eighner says the food "can
be evaluated with some confidence largely on the basis of appearance." In my
opinion, I don't care if the food looks perfect, I wouldn't eat garbage unless
I was dying from hunger.
But eating is only one problem facing the homeless. Their second
priority should be shelter. Where will they go if it is freezing or something?
Many large cities have homeless shelters, but sometimes they get full and the
last to arrive might not be allowed in due to overcrowding according to fire
laws. I wish that they would let these people s .....
