depicted and influenced.
The Trobriand Islanders are a society in Papaua New Giuenia. They are composed
of about, twelve thousand people in sixty villages. The Trobrianders have been
penetrated by outside influences for centuries and have remained considerably

Prejudice
Number of words: 406 - Number of pages: 2.... the kids that I have played with will
choose me to be on their team again and the fat prejudice is broken.
Because I have experience prejudice myself, and have been hurt by it, I try
to avoid treating other people that way. Especially in sports, I try to
give everyone a chance to prove themselves. Being the object of prejudice
was very stressful for me, but I try to set up my own teams or play hard on
whatever team I am on and have fun anyway.
Prejudice is a hurtful way of treating people differently because
of their unique qualities rather than giving them a chance to prove
themselves. .....

Gangs: A Violent Reality
Number of words: 1527 - Number of pages: 6.... could make $200 to $400 for small part time
gang jobs. Although these are important factors they are not strong enough to
make kids do things that are strongly against their morals.
One of the ways that kids morals are bent so that gang violence becomes
more acceptable is the influence of television and movies. The average child
spends more time at a TV than she/he spends in a classroom. Since nobody can
completely turn off their minds, kids must be learning something while watching
the TV. Very few hours of television watched by children are educational, so
other ideas are being abso .....

Family, Marriage, And Gender Roles
Number of words: 718 - Number of pages: 3.... of two partners of the same sex. What happens to a society where the
nuclear family is no longer the dominant configuration? Only time will tell.
Being brought up in a traditional environment, I have very conservative
views on the concept of a family. When I was young, my Mother did not work.
She would stay at home with me until I was about thirteen years old. I feel
that, if possible, a mother should stay home with her children. In my eyes, the
main responsibility of a Mother is to furnish her children with as much
attention as possible. Without the necessary attention the child wil .....

attempted suicide were not stopped, the impact would be recognized. Another popular argument
for stoppers, people who want to prevent suicide, is that nothing can be bad enough. Yet how do
they know this? They do not have to put up with the same stuff the suicide victim does everyday.
How could they possibly know what the potential suicide victim feels. Just as a severely burned
victim may wish to be allowed to die in peace, the suicide victim wishes the same. To die in
peace with no argument from others.
The argument of "look at the people you will hurt" also doe .....
