It is important to remember in his Eulogy he gives examples of how Athenians who served their country is an honor but when they gave their life for their country they were the ultimate hero. In the beginning of his Eulogy he focuses on how their ancestors gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country in paragraph one " Many are those who have praised, here, the man who added a speech to this rite, as if it were a fine thing to orate(preach) over men buried from our wars."
