A Wedding Day
The day was August 17, 1974. The weather was hot, the people were gathered to watch. The moment had arrived; I was ready to walk down the aisle. Suddenly, someone walks in and states "the groom isn't here"! I couldn't believe it. The quests were told there would be a delay. Then after forty-five minutes, which seemed like an eternity, the groom arrived. The wedding began.
I met my fiancé in the summer downtown on the street in front of the Piggly Wiggly, a local grocery store. I was on a lunch break from work. I really don't know how we ever managed to get marrie ....
