Military Pay
The raise for 1999 approved by President Clinton has set off many political debates. One of the debates being focused on is compared to the civilian sector pay. I don't believe that all of the President's opposition disputes the military a pay raise. I believe that some may agree that the raise is not enough to solve the militaries' moral and retention problem. The military is not being competitive enough to retain its educated and senior personnel. I am a Federal employee, I work with soldiers every day and agree, they are under more pressure today than in the past ....
