good and evil. He is a perfect hero for his time and his legend will last
forever. Some of the heroic qualities he possesses are courage, strength,
and loyalty.
Beowulf shows his courage many times in this poem. One example of
this is by him going to Herot after so many people had been killed there.
He also shows his courage by battling Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and the
dragon. A final example of Beowulf’s courage is when he battles the dragon
