Oedipus Rex: Oedipus Deserves His Fate
Number of words: 1105 - Number of pages: 5.... his supposed parents again. But it is quite certain from the first that his best efforts will fail.
Others would argue that because Oedipus was a tyrannical ruler and didn't make the best choices in life, he deserved to suffer. E. R. Dodds states that, "Oedipus' behavior on the stage reveals the man he always was: he was punished for his basically unsound character." It was unavoidable and was his destiny to suffer in life. It was certainly not his fault that he reacted to his circumstances as he did.
One of the most outstanding examples of the god's predetermination, is when Oedipus reca .....

his wife a good beating.” Albert Johnson does not even realize how important
Celie is to him until she is gone. At that point he returns some of the love
that is shown to him by helping Nettie and her family to return to the United
States in order to see Celie. This action shows the impact of Mr. Johnson's
rhetoric on Celie by returning to her the first person that she ever loved.
Both the rhetoric that Mr. Johnson exposes Celie to and the rhetoric that Celie

Movie Analysis: Species And Species II
Number of words: 389 - Number of pages: 2.... right on cue.
Species set the standard for movies like SPECIES II, and it is a
really good movie. It actually gets funny, and except for one guy, the
acting is very well done. The only problem is that somewhere in the
Chicago city (where it was supposed to be based) they found a cave,
complete with stalectytes. It also contained a pool of acid, that caught
on fire for no reason. Other than that, this was one of the best movies
I've ever, EVER seen.

final days together at Xanadu.
Her ravaged face in the nightclub dissolves slowly to a scene of
vocal lessons, where a younger Susan is viewed. She is forced to practice
her singing with Matisti (For .....

shut down. Furthermore, he goes on to allow the blame to fall on Steve, in
order to save himself from going to jail, even though Steve was not the

committed this heinous act for the benefit of his family- so that they will
have money and everything else they need and can live happily. "Chris...

The Tragedy Of Hamlet
Number of words: 914 - Number of pages: 4.... while he is
hiding behind the arras in Gertrude's room. This shows how Polonius, a man
unaware of the true nature of the situation he is in, is killed by a member
of the royalty during the execution of one of their schemes. This makes
Polonius' death a tragedy.
The next member of Polonius' family to die is his daughter Ophelia.
Ophelia's death is tragic because of her complete innocence in the
situation. Some may argue that Polonius deserves his fate because of his
deceitfulness in dealing with Hamlet while he is mad, but Ophelia is
entirely manipulated and used by Hamlet and the .....

Romeo And Juliet: The Capulet Family
Number of words: 636 - Number of pages: 3.... more examples of characters yielding to others and not standing up
for what they believe. For instance, when Lady Capulet brought up the idea
of Juliet marrying Paris, Juliet just went along with the concept , even
though that was possibly not what she wanted.
An even more significant instance of such a thing occurring is the
fact that Juliet feared to tell her parents that she had fallen in love
with Romeo, a Montague. She knew that if she informed them of how she felt,
they would get angry and maybe disown her, just because of their hate for
all Montagues.
That is another of .....

A Letter To Shakespeare
Number of words: 611 - Number of pages: 3.... she is saying. And at the end of the balcony scene, instead
of Juliet saying "Parting is such sweet sorrow," although that is very dramatic,
she could just say something like, "I wish you didn't have to go so soon."
Another part that I noticed was in the scene where Mercutio was
insulting Tybalt, right before they fought in the streets of Verona. Mercutio
had called Tybalt "prince of cats" since Tybalt was an ordinary name for house
cats at that time. I think that it would be all right to keep this part,
however you might want to think about changing Tybalt's name to something that
is mor .....
