Much Ado About Nothing: The Film Directed By Branagh
Number of words: 1544 - Number of pages: 6.... track soars, a flag is whipping in the wind, there is a close-up of each soldiers face; they raise their fists to signal victory. The excitement is intense. Everyone rushes to the villa amid laughter, squeals, soaring music, shedding cloths, bare bottoms, and bathing. The mood is set. Utilizing the beautiful rose colored villa, gorgeous scenery, glorious music, imaginative cinematography, Branagh's Much Ado is more sensual and aesthetic than intellectual. Shakespeare relied almost wholly on his language for effect-- his sensuality was verbal, Branagh's is visual.
Shakespeare's m .....

Macbeth: The Symbol Of Blood
Number of words: 879 - Number of pages: 4.... his sword is covered in the hot
blood of the enemy.
After these few references to honour, the symbol of blood now changes to
show a theme of treachery and treason. Lady Macbeth starts this off when she
asks the spirits to "make thick my blood,". What she is saying by this, is that
she wants to make herself insensitive and remorseless for the deeds which she is
about to commit. Lady Macbeth knows that the evidence of blood is a treacherous
symbol, and knows it will deflect the guilt from her and Macbeth to the servants
when she says "smear the sleepy grooms with blood.", and "If he .....

The Chocolate War: Comparison Between Book And Movie
Number of words: 311 - Number of pages: 2.... and Archie is reduced in rank. Archie get the
marble in the movie but not in the book. There is no music in the book,
but there is in the movie.
I liked the movie better than the book. It was better because
Jerry got even with Archie for once. And that in my opinion, is a better
way to end a movie like the Chocolate War. I just feel that movies are
more helpful. And in this case I just feel that it was much better. The
book just lacked many unexplainable qualities, that the movie had. .....

Antigone: Changing Views Of The Chorus
Number of words: 807 - Number of pages: 3.... next appearance blatantly shows their biased attitudes
against Antigone and her exiled father Oedipus. At this point they still sing
praise for King Creon and his unwavering decisions concerning the law which was
placed upon the city regarding the body of Polynices: “When he weaves in the
laws of the land, and the justice of the gods that binds his oaths together, he
and his city rise high--but the city casts out that man who weds himself to
inhumanity thanks to reckless daring. Never share my hearth never think my
thoughts, whoever does such things.” (Lines 409-416) In my opin .....

Julius Caesar: Roman Life During The First Triumvirate
Number of words: 743 - Number of pages: 3.... of Caesar's impending death. Although sooth-sayers are looked upon by many as insane out of touch lower-classmen, a good deal of them, obviously including the sayer Caesar encountered, are indeed right on the mark. Since they lack any formal office or shop, and they predict forthcomings without fee, one can see quite easily why citizens would distrust their predictions. Superstition, in general elements such as the Feast of Lupercal, as well as on a personal level such as with the sooth-sayers, is an important factor in determining the events and the outcome of Julius Caesar, a significa .....

MTV And The Madonna Phenomenon
Number of words: 2157 - Number of pages: 8.... to properly explain how the “Madonna Phenomenon” has become
such an important concept in media studies, one must look first at how
influential MTV (music television) has become in the last decade. MTV addresses
the “desires, fantasies, and anxieties” of young people(Kaplan 270) who have,
like myself, grown up in a decade when all the traditional institutions and
theories that were always respected, are being questioned. It has become the
center of discussions of many young people who have grown up idolizing the
figures shown on the network. MTV is a culture in itself. With it's own .....
