The top half is covered with an ugly brown wallpaper that reminds me of the wallpaper in my grandmother's house. The wallpaper usually goes unnoticed because most of it is covered up with other stuff. Hanging on the wall behind the counter there is a collection of old frying pans and various outdated wooden cooking utensils. On the other walls there are mirrors, wildlife sketches, black and white photographs of .....

.... my life forever. It was either the military or go to a community college and try to redeem myself. I wanted to do neither, but I had to choose. The military was off my list and going to a community college sounded o.k. .... our better judgement. The trail down was a steep runoff ditch about two feet wide surrounded with scrub brush. While on the way down I was thinking both about how bad my legs were getting cut from the brush, but also about not slipping on the sandy trail.
