Christmas Satire
Number of words: 597 - Number of pages: 3.... caroling time is now a chaotic, screaming in someone's face nightmare. Relatives avoid each other for fear of actually reliving bad childhood family moments. Children still run around the house clamoring over presents, but not from under a nice smelling pine tree, but from an aluminum death trap waiting to fall over and spit out sparks of electricity. While the children still enjoy this time, they too have lost all sense of the Christmas spirit. They throw tantrums and scream and shout over the Furby or Pokemon doll that they didn't get. So what if their parents are having trouble ma .....

The Curse Of Right And Wrong
Number of words: 745 - Number of pages: 3.... and survived. Others have admitted to infidelity and seen their political careers plummet. The fact that morality seems to be in decline may be, in large part, due to the media. Advancements in technology have made it possible for peoples lives to be quickly and more widely known; therefore, making the public more aware of what is happening.
When Americans look for something to blame for declining morals, they point straight at the media, particularly the entertainment media, and especially TV. Jason Sines of Chase, Md., says “the worst is television.” He notes that TV is rea .....

Communication Inluence And Cha
Number of words: 648 - Number of pages: 3.... on another person or situation. I think that influence is a direct effect of communication. I say this because what one person says to another will always have an influence be it negative or positive. Some positive examples of influence are speeches given by some of the great men of our country's past. Men like Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln,
and John F. Kennedy have had a powerful impact with their speeches. Speeches like Lincoln's "Emancipation Proclamation", King's " I have a dream" and J.F.K's "We Choose to go to the Moon" have influenced people in many ways.
There have also been .....

Canadian government.
In 1884, Gabriel Dumont rode to Montana and asked
Riel to defend the Métis once again. Riel returned to help
the natives once more. Riel was risking capture when he
returned. This was a very noble act on his part. Instead of
staying nice and safe in Montana, Riel gave up his safety
for the Métis. Riel decided to try an unviolent approach
this time instead of starting an all out rebellion. Riel and
the Métis drew up a petition and presented it to the
government. The petition, which demanded more food .....

How Television Works
Number of words: 477 - Number of pages: 2.... It's actually thousands of little dots lined in place to create a picture. But the fun doesn't stop here!
One of the biggest parts of a working TV is the picture tube, which has four basic parts. The glass face panel is the screen that pictures appear on. It's coated in phosphor, which is any material that when expose to radiation, emits visible light. Suspended directly behind the face is a steel shadow mask, with thousands of square holes. This panel is fused to a glass funnel, and the rear of this funnel converges into a neck, which holds the electron guns.

Should College Athletes Be Paid?
Number of words: 457 - Number of pages: 2.... jobs are seemingly always
lined up for them. For example, Dugan Fife, former captain of the
University of Michigan basketball team, was employed by the Detroit Lion's
front office one summer.
Also, if the student athletes feel cheated because their university is
turning a profit from their name and likeness, they are obviously good
players who will go on to play professional sports anyway. They should be
able to wait and in a few years they'll be in a professional league, raking
in ridiculous amounts of money.
College athletes should not recieve income from their universities.
