Why I’m Proud To Be An American
Number of words: 308 - Number of pages: 2.... not may other countries who have as much pride in
their country as the American people do.
The biggest excitement of being an American comes from the joy of living in
a democracy. We have the right to vote. This means that it is up to us to
decide who becomes president of our country. We are very lucky to live in
this country and enjoy all of its freedoms. I will always be proud to be
an American. It is pretty cool being a american becasue cool kids, fun
school, and best of all we have fought and won many wars only if I could
help the america any way I will do my best and try my hardes .....

Men Will Rise From The Dark Depth Of Prejudice To The Majestic Heights Of Brotherhood
Number of words: 542 - Number of pages: 2.... to allow a white person to sit in her seat or
row. An organization was formed to boycott the buses and Dr. Martian Luther king
was asked to be president of it. In his first, and in my opinion, most powerful
speeches Dr. Martian Luther King stated “First and foremost we are American
citizens...We are not here advocating violence...the only weapon that we
have...is that of protest...The great glory of American democracy is the right
to protest for right.” Dr. King and the organization succeeded. The Supreme
Court ordered the city to have equal, integrated seating. This was only the
first .....

Feminism And Gender Equality In The 1990's
Number of words: 2153 - Number of pages: 8.... evil.
I remember in particular the searing effect on me, who once intended to
be a psychologist, of a story in McCall's in December 1949 called "A
Weekend with Daddy." A little girl who lives a lonely life with her mother,
divorced, an intellectual know-it-all psychologist, goes to the country to
spend a weekend with her father and his new wife, who is wholesome, happy,
and a good cook and gardener. And there is love and laughter and growing
flowers and hot clams and a gourmet cheese omelet and square dancing, and
she doesn't want to go home. But, pitying her poor mother typing away all .....

Hooked On The Internet
Number of words: 833 - Number of pages: 4.... developed by our technological nation, has become a "condition from which an estimated 5 million Americans suffer, or one out of every nine Internet users", estimates the author of Digital Drug Marilyn Elias (13). According to many experts, it is becoming clear that millions cannot control the habit of spending endless hours in front of the computer screens, and that addiction to Internet can cause as much damage in people's lives as alcohol, drugs, and gambling.
Why is this new epidemic so widespread? Computers are rather inexpensive: even one thousand dollars can buy a perfectly ade .....

Gender Marriage And The Cold War
Number of words: 2373 - Number of pages: 9.... (Mary) is shown to be smart, savvy, and able to hold her own (sometimes surpassing) her male comrades. Paul and Anita by contrast have a dysfunctional (and loveless) relationship because society will not allow them to escape from their expected roles in society.
The United States of the future (In Player Piano) has been transformed to the point where its appearance paralleled the popular idea of what it was like behind the iron curtain. Computers determine the course of a person's life, and there can be no deviation short of "dropping out" of society. The most valued asset in this .....

Stereotypes Of Pro Athletes
Number of words: 782 - Number of pages: 3.... A popular misconception is that the educations they did earn were in areas like Liberal Arts, or other general fields of study which didn't challenge their mental capabilities.
Another stereotype is that pro athletes received preferential treatment while in college. Many believe that if an athlete needs a certain grade to remain eligible to play sports, then the faculty would grade him or her lighter than the rest of the class. We have also stereotyped athletes as "above" the law. There have been, on occasion, incidents where a pro- athlete is treated better by the justice system than .....

Socialism
Number of words: 4433 - Number of pages: 17.... first occurred in
an English journal in 1827. These two great historical events, establishing
democratic government in France and the conditions for vast future economic
expansion in England, also engendered a state of incipient conflict between the
property owners (the bourgeoisie) and the growing class of industrial workers;
socialists have since been striving to eliminate or at least mitigate this
conflict. The first socialist movement emerged in France after the Revolution
and was led by Francois BABEUF, Filippo Buonarrotti (1761-1837), and Louis
Auguste BLANQUI; Babeuf's revolt .....

Gangs: Until There's An Answer
Number of words: 530 - Number of pages: 2.... addressed, and gang access to illegally obtained firearms is
nullified, gang violence will continue. The claim was presented in such a
fashion that, while based on widely accepted ideas, an appeal to the
emotions through sympathy for the injured children was also applied. To
justify their claim, statistics such as 28 children under the age of 10
were murdered between 1987 and 1994, 95% of which were murdered with
firearms and over half the murders were done as drive-byes. Unfortunately,
the means to correct even one of these problems was not included.
Hutson and Anglin do cite wh .....

Animal Rights
Number of words: 1133 - Number of pages: 5.... of laughter and asks if you would like to see the skin-testing lab.
Every year millions of animals suffer and die in painful tests to determine ‘the safety’ of items ranging from eye shadow to oven cleaner. The eye irritancy test described above is only one of the tests that convince me that animal product testing is absolutely wrong. A lethal dose test force-feeds animals a particular chemical in order to see how toxic it is. It may also be injected under the skin, into a vein, or into the lining of the abdomen; mixed into lab chow, inhaled through a gas mask or introduced into .....

Canadians including politicians, journalists, professors, business leaders,

offer opinions and advice in what was called the Trudeau Review. The
