School Uniform
Number of words: 409 - Number of pages: 2.... schoolwork and instills discipline in pupils. Two groups of students were compared. Each of the groups had 1000 pupils. Group "A" consisted of students that had a policy. Group "B" did not. After they took the same test, group "A" got 15% higher grades than group "B". This study shows that uniforms improve grades in school.
Every time children who don't have rich parents look at the wealthy students they will dream about fancy clothes. If the schools adopt a uniform rule, children won't be teased about what they wear, because everyone will be wearing the same thing. Nobody will be jealous .....

Raving And Ravers
Number of words: 917 - Number of pages: 4.... why they are so remote is because of the loud
music that is played, the large crowds it attracts, and basically so that
no authority-such as police find ‘em and break up the scene.
Body Introduction :
Raves are basically one huge party that lasts all night long with
music and specialized lighting. Sometimes even days. So you might ask what
people do at raves. The answer is simple. To listen to music, dance, and “
chill”.
Body 1 (Music) :
Music is a major part of the rave, because music is what helps make
it up and allows the people to dance. There are always numerous types of

Perspectives On Society And Culture
Number of words: 488 - Number of pages: 2.... a year by the” holy mouth men”.
This is where the man uses exotic instruments to open holes larger in
decaying teeth or even healthy teeth. The teeth, with nerve exposed, are stuffed
with”magical”material to arrest decay. To the outsider this is torturous. There
are many other disturbing body cleansing rituals like the baking of women's
heads scheduled by the patterns of the moon. This culture is one of many
cultures who put there faith in past on beliefs and go to seemingly horrific
measures carrying them out.
This article was frightening as well as uplifting to me. W .....

Censorship On Televison
Number of words: 682 - Number of pages: 3.... constitutional right.
Somewhere along the line, someone had the notion that Americans are not smart enough to view “questionable” and “objectionable” material. Censors were instituted to tell the general population what should and should not be viewed and thus began this
travesty. Government organizations, such as the FCC, routinely and systematically subjugate and suppress the freedoms that we have to express ourselves as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Censors edit radio broadcasts, discriminately place “black-bars” over televised images, and even try to refine works .....

Two Kinds Of People On Campus: Party Animal And The Sober Guy
Number of words: 315 - Number of pages: 2.... and without a
hangover.
The party animal is usually a popular guy. People are always saying hi to
him or waving to him on campus. Most of the time he doesn't even remember who
they are. The sober guy goes to class and that's it. He usually has the business
before pleasure attitude. Once finished with the days studies he will then hang
out with his friends.
These are just two stereotypes of people on campus. They are almost
exact opposites. The party animal doesn't avoid trouble, has poor study habits,
and is very social. While the sober guy has excellent grades, stays away fr .....

Gun And Children: Ways To Keep Them Safe In The House
Number of words: 602 - Number of pages: 3.... say they are just trying to keep there family safe from harm. Is there anyone that doesn’t want to be able to keep there family safe from any harm that might be their way. I want the same thing, but I also want to keep the children from harming them selves or others in anyway thinkable. I feel the same about that ,but if I was a parent or had a gun in a home with small children I would want to keep them safe any way possible. Wouldn’t you want that too? You have to keep the children safe from themselves.
Still people say “dismantling and restoring the weapon is hard and a waste of t .....

Rights Of Egyptian Women
Number of words: 1671 - Number of pages: 7.... provided scholars with proof that women could manage
property, institute litigation, and could act as a witness before a court of law.
Surviving court documents not only showed that women were free to take action
with the court, but the documents also show that they frequently won their cases.
They could also enter contracts and travel freely, unescorted, throughout the
state. This is a great contrast to women in Greece, who were required to act
through a male representative. Interestingly, property and its administration
was passed from mother to daughter, matrilineally. The Egyptians .....

Prejudice Against Native Americans
Number of words: 898 - Number of pages: 4.... lack of orginization
of the Indian tribes. All of these aspects had a strong influence the Europeans
to become dominate figures on the Native American land. These factors can still
be attributed for the way that Native Americans are viewed in society today.
After the Revolutionary War the new United States government sought to gain
land through treaties. The payment offered for the land was far from fair,
however, and when Native Americans resisted the surrender of their homeland the
US government simply used superior military power to evict them. The Europenas
knew nothing of the new .....

Environmental Pollution Concerns Come To Forefront
Number of words: 1051 - Number of pages: 4.... after the district filters water drawn from the American River, it stores the water in small reservoirs open to the elements.
Most other water districts use closed steel or concrete tanks. Only a few other California water districts currently store treated water in open reservoirs, including those in McCloud, Santa Barbara, Montecito, Carpinteria and Los Angeles. None of those has as many as the 11 used in EID.
The El Dorado reservoir water consistently meets state health standards on bacteria, EID officials say, because the district constantly bubbles chlorine from nearby tanks into the r .....

Baby Boomers Are Jealous
Number of words: 1088 - Number of pages: 4.... our generation so special, is that we have proven them all
wrong. Generation X consists of those between the ages 13 and 33 years of age.
We as a group have become the productive, interested, and hardworking
individuals that we are today. We have grown to realize that the future's
undiscovered country is awaiting our arrival, and is there for the taking.
It isn't at all ironic that during our short lives the world has seen so
many changes. Through the work of our generation and the reactions of the Baby
Boomers generation, we have helped turn this world into a new age of wisdom .....
