Hamlet: Sane Or Insane
Number of words: 888 - Number of pages: 4.... not, with all their quantity of love,/ Make up my sum" [Act V, scene I, lines 250-253], during the fight with Laertes in Ophelia's grave, but he tells her that he never loved her, when she returns his letters and gifts, while she was still alive. Movie: All About Eve
Number of words: 931 - Number of pages: 4.... work a little bit
harder to get this. Margo took her into her home.
Margo's secretary-aid, Birdie (Thelma Ritter), was the first to sense
something was strange about Eve, but her position made it not her place to speak
her mind. Eve knew this and also knew it would be easy to take control of her
position because of this. It would only seem to Margo that she enjoyed doing
things for her.
Eve charmed Bill Simpson (Gary Merrill), director and Margo's lover, with her
feminine qualities that Margo lacked. Eve just seemed to be overly interested
in everything Bill had to say about the t .....

Macbeth: Banquo's Soliloquy
Number of words: 397 - Number of pages: 2.... Banquo is saying that he wants the prophesies to come true for
him also and make him the king and the beginning of a long line of kings.
The main idea of his soliloquy is that Banquo knows that Macbeth killed
Duncan. Strangely enough, this soliloquy is placed two scenes before he died,
not giving him enough time to tell anyone else about his discovery. Banquo has
realized that Macbeth murdered Duncan but will die in two scenes anyway.
In Banquo's soliloquy in the beginning of the third act of Macbeth,
Banquo suspects that Macbeth is behind Duncan's murder. He knows this because he

The Merchant Of Venice: Shylock - Victim Or Villain
Number of words: 2695 - Number of pages: 10.... written only two years later. Anti-Semitism was prevalent during
Shakespeares' time, and therefore we must understand that it was as easy for him
to make a Jewish man the villain as it would be for us to make a Nazi the
villain. According to Sylvan Barnet "The Merchant of Venice [shows] the
broad outline of a comedy (not merely a play with jests, but a play that ends
happily). . . the villain in the comedy must be entirely villainous, or, rather,
comically villainous; he cannot for a moment gain the audience's sympathy" (1).
Shylock has often been portrayed as the villain in The Merchant .....

Interaction Between Gods And Mortals In Agamemnon
Number of words: 2377 - Number of pages: 9.... the overwhelming power that the gods posses over mortals. He has been away from his wife and house for ten years and the first thing he thinks of is the gods, not his wife or anything else. He understands the problems he could run into if he does not appease the gods. This was not the only situation where Agamemnon chose someone else’s wishes over his families. He has also sacrificed his daughter in order to appease the gods and make sure that his people would not suffer. This also shows the power of the gods and how Agamemnon will react to situations. He will not put his fa .....

Antigone
Number of words: 636 - Number of pages: 3.... my confusion. Can there be more than one hero in a Greek tragedy, or is there something that I am missing.
A comparison of these two characters, in an attempt to clarify this perplexing idea has only caused a heightening to my bewilderment. Both were noble characters. , a princess and Creon, the King. Both had strong ideals and morals. felt that the laws of the Gods and family were paramount, and Creon felt that the welfare and safety of his citizens and the state was of the utmost importance. Both characters believed very strongly in their ideals and would not be swayed by reason. .....

A Street Car Named Desire: Blanche
Number of words: 810 - Number of pages: 3.... is “Open your pretty mouth and talk while I look for some liquor!” This illustrates how insensitive and demandfull Blanche can be at times. It also shows that Blanche is clearly not the shy and timid young lady she tries to be later in the story. Blanche then shows that she is also hung-up on herself by asking Stella if she looks okay. Stella tells her that she looks fine and Blanche’s response is “you’ve put on some weight, yes, you’re just as plump as a little partridge!” Here again Blanche is guilty of putting herself on a petistal and trying to make herself look better .....

The Caretaker By Pinter: A Play Can Be Confrontational, Challenging And
Number of words: 1958 - Number of pages: 8.... the uncertainty
of human existence.
When an audience of the 1960's went to the theatre, it can generally be
assumed that they had preconceived ideas about what they expected and what
they are going to gain from the theatrical experience. The traditional
attitudes towards theatre and the conventions of realist drama are
disrupted by Pinter. This confronts the assumptions and values of the
audience, an experience which would be disconcerting and frightening to
many.
Pinter divorces and exposes society's codes, institutions and human
relations. Throughout the play the audience is rarel .....

Patterns Of Imagery In Macbeth
Number of words: 1226 - Number of pages: 5.... night. Fleance says, "The moon is
down" (Line 2), and Banquo says, "Their (Heaven's) candles are all out
(there are no stars in the sky)." (Line 5) Darkness evokes feelings of
evilness, of a disturbance in nature on this fateful night. It creates a
perfect scene for the baneful murders.
Another disturbance in nature comes from Macbeth's mouth, "Now o'er
the one half-world / Nature seems dead" (Lines 49 - 50). This statement
might mean that everywhere he looks, the world seems dead (there is no
hope). It might also give him the idea that the murder he is about to
commit will have r .....

Movie Preview For Silent Scream In THX
Number of words: 993 - Number of pages: 4.... in the moment you just now realize that the
movie was in spectacular animation. And the voice you felt strangely
familiar was James Earl Jones.
While I was reading this book I thought it would be a perfect story
line for an animated movie. So I was thought that my choice would be Todd
McFarlane. His current production is Spawn: The Cartoon on HBO. He also
has just done the animation for the video called “Do the Revolution”
preformed by Pearl Jam. Both of these cartoons have very convincing visuals
ala Todd McFarlane.
For the narrative during the movie and in the previe .....
