Tom Wolfe’s writing helps the reader better understand the technical aspects. Another device used to keep the reader's attention was the intertwining plots. In the first part of the book, the life of a typical pilot is portrayed. The rest of the book is a mixture of the four primary characters. The style is as .....

In Othello's mind, Iago was so trust worthy that anyone elses word would not be truth, and all of Othello's faith was placed in Iago. Iago calls himself trust worthy in Act II Scene I Line 196, Iago is quoted saying "As honest as I am", which everyone knows is far from true, but Iago is still capable of bringing Othello. Othello believes in the honesty of Iago untill the bitter end of the play. Othello and Iago's wife, Emilia, argue in Act III Sc .....

.... The men were curious and so they opened the box. Nothing happened at first and then glowing eyes caught their attention. One guy was killed. The other guy managed to get away and swim for about 200 yards and then he was down. The men's bodies washed up on shored weeks later. That's when Chase and Tall Man knew there was something in the water and it was up to them to figure out what it was. More strange things were happening. The ocean life began to act strange and Chase couldn't figure out what that had anything to do with the killings. Tall Man was a rather large .....

His 7 year older sister is Alexis. She has a kind of tomboy attitude and loves baseball. Ian Malcom is the Mathematician that uses "Chaos Theory" to predict disastrous results. Finally there is Dennis Nedry. He was the computer genius who's greed and ambition bring chaos to Jurassic Park. The characters show the greatest difference in the movie and the book. .... in the old man's shack give the reader a feeling of his loneliness and isolation, such as his one bed, one table, one chair, and his wife's picture that he did not stand to look at so he took it down. At the same time the open door takes us through the old man's mind showing his hope that someone will stop by his cottage some day and come in without knocking. Another incident that shows the isolation of the old man is the Terrace. The terrace is a place that shows how other fishermen treat the old man and make him feel as a stranger among them. These convictions which Holden holds waver very momentarily during only one particular scene in the book. The scene is that with Mr. Antolini. After Mr. Antolini patted Holden on the head while he was sleeping, Holden jumped up and ran out thinking that Mr. Antolini was a pervert as well. This is the only time during the novel where Holden thinks twice about .....

He says it clearly: "in that seson on a day, In Southwerk at the Tabard as I lay Redy to wenden on my pilgrymage" (1). But the fact that he is a pilgrim gives no clue to what he does in real life; beggars and kings alike could be pilgrims. So we know the narrator not by his vocation, but by his avocations: writer and pilgrim. Why not short-circuit this elaborate search for textual clues as to what the narrator does, and just equate him with Chaucer? After all, the narrator .....
