.... The style of writing is very laid back, sort of a Sunday reader or one that you can pick up in the bathroom from time to time. I enjoyed reading this book so much the first time I had to read it again. The second time was even better than the first, because of all the new things I could understand. I love how nowhere on his book does it say “New York Times Bestseller” because every other book on the shelf has it, but the author chooses to be different. He knows he's a winner, and as long as the people know that, he doesn't have to show it off. I also love that when I finish read .....

.... he yells, "You cannot evade me…" (p.43) Hale expects to find evidence of witchcraft. This expectation leads him to early, not fully thought out conclusions. Hale is determined to end the alignments these witches have with the Devil, and he knows the court is too. Later, Hale's views on the courts change and he becomes less obedient to it's decisions. When the judge finds out that John Proctor, an accused witch, plows on the Sabbath, he becomes disgusted; but Hale questions his authority. "Your Honor, I cannot think that you may judge the man on such evidence." (p.78) Hale is slowly .....

.... this prejudice is referred to as genoism - genetic discrimination. Racism is a less specific form of genoism, and although such discrimination is outlawed, the laws are unenforceable because in this dystopian society, as it is in BNW, one's "genetic quotient" is known from birth. The underclass people of this world are limited but aware of their social status and they are not particularly happy with it. With the BNW, the lower castes seem to be (they are made to believe so) aware but they are conditioned to like their "light,...childishly simple" work. (p.204 BNW) Another satirical mess .....

.... One must call into question what Hamlet holds to be true. If Hamlet’s given motivation for killing the king is legitimate, then Claudius should die at about Act 3. Because Hamlet’s actions do not correspond with his given reasoning, one is forced to look for an alternate explanation for Hamlet’s behavior. In doing so, one will come to the conclusion that Hamlet is driven by forces other than what is obvious to the reader, as well as Hamlet himself. Given this example, one must denounce the assumption that Hamlet is aware of the forces that motivate him, and understand .....

.... It all started when Elmer Drimsdale, school genius invented somethingthat is sort of like a television broadcaster. He didn't know it really worked!!!! When Bruno and Boots found out their school was broke and needed more money, Bruno began to think up schemes to put their school on the map.All his attempts seemed to fail, so he vented his anger on the television broadcaster, not knowing it actually worked. .... and Gatsby, Daisy and Jordan and I, were all westerners and and perhaps we possessed some deficiency in common which made us subtly unadaptable to eastern life. In other words, after finding out what the east was really like, Nick lost his interest in being in the east and returned to the west. Gatsby came east looking for another type of money - Daisy. Gatsby and Daisy had last seen each other about five years before, when they were dating. Then Gatsby had to go to war. While he was away in war, Daisy met Tom and then married Tom. He starts saying thing about the trial and Reverend Sykes ask him not to talk like that in front of Scout. Which shows that he knows what he is talking about.(see page 208-209). There is also the time when he had to go and read to Mrs. Dubose which he later finds out about her drug addiction which he fully understands. So those are ways he changes mentally. Jem changes physically in many ways in the story. His hair stuck up behind and down in front, and I wondered if it would .....
