After the boys accept Ralph as chief, Ralph gives power over the choir boys to Jack. “The choir belongs to you, of course,” (Golding, 21) Ralph's unselfish act of giving Jack rule over the choir boys is a way of keeping peace between the two groups and between Jack. In his observation of them he learned the lessons that his father had neglected to teach him. The monster learned the concepts of love and affection. When the monster watched the family he felt feelings of happiness, instead of feelings of loneliness. Eventually the monster had learned the family’s customs and understood their way of life. He realized that even though the family was not rich by their standards, they were rich by his stand .....

There they carry out an ultimate plan to destroy Dracula. The Author uses suspense as a storytelling device rather effectively throughout the story. There are a fair number of parts in which the reader is left suspended on the edge of seat, eager to find out what is to happen next. However, there were parts where suspense could be used in a manner that would enhance the gravity of the plot. Nonetheless, The book is written .....
