The inside room, representing wealth, is Old Werle's dining room where he was hosting a party. The distinctions of these two lit rooms contrast Old Ekdal and Old Werle. "In contrast to Werle's party, the lighting is of comparative poverty 'on the table a lighted lamp'"(190), explains critic, F.L. Lucas. Unlike Old Werle's expensive and exquisite illumination, a small inexpensive lamp lights the Ekdals home, displaying povert .....

.... Macbeth comments on her thoughts after having read a letter from her husband, Macbeth, informing her about the witches’ prophecies on the possibility of Kingship. A variety of outstanding topics are explored, including the revelation of the true traits of characters such as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Her first thoughts are based on the reaction of the realism of Macbeth being Thane of Glamis, and possibly Cawdor as the witches predicted. This is expressed through the words “What thou art promised”. The idea of having soliloquy interacting with the witches’ prediction .....

The reader understands that this is intended to show characterization but feels that this extremity could be better described with amouther choice of words. Bambara's technique for giving informatiove and interesting information falls short in her four-page story. Hemingway's choppy Hills LIke White Elephants leaves much to be desired. It takes the reader teh entire length of the story to half-way figure out what the subject is. Hemingway's evasiveness regarding the subject conf .....

The family’s reaction to this newfound information is very humorous because they act almost opposite as to what is expected. Hayes is almost ridiculing the middle class’ mentality and their views on life. Hayes also satirizes when Bonnie reveals Donna’s little secret of her indecent behavior when she was a little child. This was totally unexpected and it revealed Donna’s character as being loose. Even though the characters did the opposite of what was expected and .....

.... the rest of the world opens up. At this stage one must be thinking what does this have to do with equality. It's simple. Age separates the adults from the youth. When one gets his or her license, they will want more freedom. That means staying out longer. Now curfew is 11:00 p.m., but most want to stay out past that. There's always a party to go to, and the youth want to stay out with their friends and have a good time. Good times can lead to tragedy. Drinking, drugs, sex, and violence make curfew a good thing. During the day most teens are at school, but at night lots of teens gets tog .....

Life is short, and time passes by quickly; so as every minute passes we should make the best out of it. In the movie the teacher Mr. Keating tells the students that the Dead Poets met in order to suck the marrow out of life. We have to do everything that is possible in order to suck the marrow out of life, as long as we are making wise decisions. To me conformity means to do what others are doing. In other words if you conform to something, you are just going along .....

Early in the morning, Andy and her father are awaiting the arrival Mac and his son Charlie. The four of them are going hunting in the woods. Mac and Charlie finally arrive. After loading the car, the four of them begin their way into the woods. The woods were only several miles behind her house, but "it was like thinking of the space between here and the moon" (342). At daybreak, Andy awoke to find them riding over gentle hills in the Pennsylvania valley. .....

People that live under an authoritarian set of rules are many times treated with unjust and cruel power . Those who tried to go against the ideas of the government are punish , put in jail , and many times kill .....

Before his departure for France Laertes provides lengthy advice to Ophelia pertaining to her relationship with Hamlet. Laertes voices his concern of Hamlet's true intentions towards Ophelia and advices her to be wary of Hamlet's love. Laertes impresses upon Ophelia, Hamlet is a prince who most likely will have an arranged marriage. Hamlet's strong love for Ophelia withers after she rejects his affinity.
