The Roswell Incident
Number of words: 2552 - Number of pages: 10.... "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region." The next
day, the headlines read "Weather balloon was mistaken as UFO." Many people
wonder how someone with military experience could mistake a weather balloon
for a UFO, which is why they are inclined to believe the first military
report. From this point on, many people were suspicious of the United
States Government because the facts were being withheld from the public at
the Roswell Air Base. Nobody is sure what the government was trying to
cover up, they were just sure that it was something. It could have been a
spy ai .....

The Aging Process
Number of words: 1487 - Number of pages: 6.... not age. These same diseases and Alzheimer's disease account for much of the disability attributed to aging. As these diseases are conquered, far more people will live to their full potential life span and remain active and healthy for life.
A lot is known about the diseases that affect people and cause death. Much less is known about real aging because it involves fundamental cell processes that are quite complex. However, this mystery of life is being unraveled and will offer opportunities in the future that were once considered to be only possible in science fiction. It is hard to impro .....

The African Penguin
Number of words: 982 - Number of pages: 4.... time the population of the African Penguin was quite large
but some man caused factors has drastically reduced their species. A long
time ago the early European settlers at the Cape of Good Hope realized that
penguin eggs were good for eating and over the years millions of penguin
eggs have been collected greatly reducing the population of the African
penguin species, and even to make things worse they started the practice of
destroying any incubated eggs so that there would be fresh ones when these
collectors paid their next visit. Another reason the African Penguin
population was decrea .....

The Evils Of Hunting
Number of words: 430 - Number of pages: 2.... years, hunting has reduced the animal population drastically.
In the 1970's, the number of ducks making annual flights was approximately 91.5
million. In 1995, the number had been reduced to around 64 million. Within 20
years, in short, the duck population was reduced by almost one third, showing
the drastic toll hunting is taking on our wildlife. If we assume that other
species have been reduced in number at approximately the same rate in recent
years, then what are the larger implications for our ecological balance? If this
trend continues, by the year 2055, the members of species which ar .....

Mans Effect On The Environment
Number of words: 2105 - Number of pages: 8.... to name but a few. Oil spillages either by tankers or offshore ridges cause devistating effects on the local environments. Oil is extremely dense which means it floats on top of the water and can kill fish and birds, ruin beaches but nothing as yet has been invented to deal with this major problem. Dangerous metals such as mercury, arsenic and lead are also dumped into the sea. All of these examples have the ability to kill and damage the environment around it.
Agricultural Environments : Unwanted plants or insects are nowadays killed with by herbicides and insecticides, in th .....

The metal combines with oxygen at red heat, and with chorine at 550 degrees Celsius. when a metal, is considered to be physiologically inert. Pure dioxide is kind of clear and has an extremely high index of refraction with an optical dispersion higher then diamond.
The location of on the Periodic Chart is in the series of sub groups called transition elements. Other then the fact that transition elements are metals, there is not a single property .....

Arthritis, The Hidden Dissability
Number of words: 1543 - Number of pages: 6.... course of the disease. And, arthritis is a disease for which something can be done.
Types
As I have already stated, there are more than 115 different types of arthritis. I will include the six most common forms in this report.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis in Canada. This type is also referred to as "degenerative joint disease", because it is a consequence of the wearing out of the cartilage that covers the end of bones, usually in the major weight bearing joints of the hips, knees, and spine. Joints in the fingers are occasionally inv .....

carry out their survival plans. Lastly, many believe an American flag
should be placed on the planet of Mars.
The Americans have greatly contributed to the findings on Mars;
they have helped figure out that the temperature is cool and that the
atmosphere is thin. America’s NASA deeply desires for Mars to be a useful
planet. Many take-offs have been launched in recent years to carry out
this goal. Mar’s Direct is one plan where a rocket to Mars was to exploit
the local resources on the planet. Usually, rockets such as this one, need
fuel and oxidizer in order to power- .....

The Shrew
Number of words: 531 - Number of pages: 2.... the surface. Each burrow
has a large area at the end for the nest which was composed of shredded
grass. These nests were used for young or as a resting place for groups of
adult shrews.
Compared to most types of shrews, the least shrew is sociable, and
several may be kept together in captivity without conflict. They sleep
together and help eachother to some degree in digging tunnels and finding
food. One nest found in December in Texas contained a dozen shrews that
seemed to be staying there for the winter; another examined near
Nacogdoches was occupied by at over 31 shrews.
These small s .....
